The new 2011 BMW 5-Series sedan is finally here and while it looks more elegant and classier than before, BMW says that it still stays true to its enthusiast style driving dynamics.
The 2011 BMW 5-Series powertrain lineup consists of one 8-cylinder and three 6-cylinder gasoline engines, as well as two 6-cylinder diesels. A 4-cylinder turbodiesel with an aluminum crankcase and common-rail direct injection will also be made available for the European market. The new 5-Series sedan bimmer will be available with an optional 8-speed automatic transmission while the BMW 550i will get it as a standard option.
